PU IAP organizes 20th Muslim Psychology moot

LAHORE: (Thursday, December 04, 2025): Punjab University Institute of Applied Psychology (IAP) in collaboration with the Society for Advancement of Muslim Psychology, Pakistan Psychological Association (PPA), Lahore Chapter, and Fountain House organized the 20th “Muslim Psychology Conference” in its auditorium. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali, IAP Director and PPA President Prof Dr Rafia Rafique, President of the Society for Advancement of Muslim Psychology Dr Amjad Tufail, renowned psychologists, researchers, faculty members and a large number of students were present. In his address, PU VC Dr Muhammad Ali said that psychology is an important subject. He lauded the efforts of organizers for a fruitful conference. He shed light on the topic in detail and delivered inspiring remarks on advancing Muslim psychology and mental health in Pakistan. He said that during COVID-19, psychologists had played an important role for society. He said that loving our country is a part of Muslim psychology. He said that Pakistan has a lot of resources and opportunities. Prof Dr Rafia Rafique expressed profound gratitude for the visionary support and patronage received at this milestone event. She said that the event focused on the theme “Mental Health in Catastrophes and Emergencies: Muslim Perspective,” attracting psychologists, scholars, and students for rich discussions on culturally grounded mental health strategies. In the conference Dr Ali Akbar, Dr Amjad Tufail, Riaz Fatiyana, Prof Dr Asmatullah, Dr Usman Rasheed, Dr Fatima Kamran, Prof Dr Ruhi and Dr Afifa served as panelist, keynote speakers and contributed to the expert organization of the event.
