PU Library organizes introductory talk on books
![]() LAHORE: (Monday, September 22, 2025): Punjab University Library Book Club organized introductory talks on two books, in promotion of a culture of reading, reflection and dialogue among students, faculty, and library users. The first book “Mashahere Adab: Yunani مشاہیر ادب: یونانی (قدیم دور)) by Muhammad Saleem ur Rahman, was introduced by PU Institute of Urdu Language and Literature’s Associate Professor Dr Muhammad Naeem. The book highlights the timeless contributions of Greek literary figures and their influence on world literature. The second book “Machines: as the measure of men by Michael Adas” enriched the literary discussion further, sparking intellectual curiosity and meaningful conversation among attendees. The talk was given by the Department of Philosophy’s Assistant Professor Dr Rasheed Arshad. Chief Librarian Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani said that the program served as a vibrant platform for knowledge-sharing and collective learning. He thanked the audience and the speakers and said that PU Library Book Club has become an integral part of the university’s academic and cultural life, strengthening the bond between readers and books while nurturing critical thinking.
